Dates

The May Bumps 2024 will place from Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th June 2024. The Getting-on Race took place on Friday 7th June 2024.

Getting On Race

The Getting-On Race, to qualify for the lowest divisions of the May Bumps 2024 took place on Friday 7th June 2024. Information regarding the Getting-On Race is available here.

Anniversary Row Past

To mark 50 years of Women's Divisions in the University of Cambridge Bumps, there will be an anniversary row past of the 1974 Girton, Newnham and New Hall (now Murray Edwards) crews immediately before the W1 division on Saturday 15th June. The crews will row down with the W1 division around 17:15-17:30, spin at the Plough pub, and row back upstream to clear the course before the W1 division closes out May Bumps 2024.

Spectating

Information about watching the bumps is available here. Spectators are reminded that only Umpires and designated bank parties may cycle with crews. You should contact your boat club captains if you would like to be a designated bank party. Designated bank parties are limited to four cyclists per crew (including the boatman and any VIPs), and runners are not permitted for safety reasons.

Daily start orders are available on this website (see the previous day's results), and programmes will be on sale from the Control Desk for £5 (cash or card). Printed start orders may be available at the Plough pub in Fen Ditton.

Pegasus Cup

Donated by Richard Naisby of Milton Brewery in 2006, the Pegasus Cup is awarded to the most successful boat club competing in the May Bumps each year.
